Open versus ready
A new draft is open and waits for you on Threads. When you press Use this it becomes ready, which is the only status the extension posts. If the matching approval switch is off in Preferences, that kind of draft is created ready.
Use this
Use this moves an open draft to ready. A ready card shows Remove from queue instead, which sets it back to open. Drafts that name your product are refused while the connected account has under 10 comment karma, unless Skip warmup is on. See Threads.
Copy and open
Copy and open copies the draft, opens the Reddit thread in a new tab, and marks the draft sent as a manual post. You paste it and press Comment yourself. The extension is not involved.
Where the comment URL is stored
When the extension posts a draft, it reports the new comment's URL and AppearsIn stores it on the draft, along with the comment id. Copy and open stores no comment URL, because Reddit has no comment yet when you click. Each day AppearsIn requests every stored comment URL and marks the draft removed if Reddit returns 404.

Drafts that name your product, an alias or your website are refused while the connected Reddit account has under 10 comment karma, unless Skip warmup is on.
Where is the comment link stored?
When the extension posts, it reports the new comment's link and AppearsIn stores it on the draft with the comment id. Copy and open stores no link because there is no comment yet.
How does AppearsIn know a comment was removed?
Each day it requests every stored comment link and marks the draft removed if Reddit returns 404. A comment held for review by a moderator can look removed until it is approved.
