AppearsIn

Reddit marketing and AI visibility for SaaS founders

AppearsIn is software that helps a brand get named in AI answers. It finds the Reddit threads that already rank for a buyer's questions, drafts one reply per thread in your voice, and posts it from your own Reddit account after you approve it. It also tracks whether ChatGPT, Google AI Overview, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity, Grok and Meta Muse Spark name your brand, and where Reddit and the wider web mention you and your competitors.

For founders and small SaaS teams who want to be named when a buyer asks an AI assistant which tool to choose, AppearsIn is a Reddit reply and AI-visibility tool that finds the threads behind the answer and drafts the reply. Unlike hands-off services that post from accounts they manage, it posts only from your own Reddit account, after you approve.

The short answer

You do not have a content team or a Reddit programme, and your buyers are asking assistants which tool to pick. AppearsIn shows whether you are named, finds the Reddit threads that rank for those questions, drafts a reply for each in your voice, and posts the ones you approve from your own account. Starter is $99 a month, and Lite is $49.

The problem a founder actually has

You built something people need, and you know the buying conversation is moving. A prospect who used to search "best X for Y" now asks ChatGPT, Gemini or Perplexity, reads an answer that names three or four products, and shortlists from that. If you are not one of the names, you are not on the shortlist, and you will probably never know the question was asked.

You cannot check this by hand at any scale, because the answers change between runs and between engines. And you cannot easily influence it, because the answers lean on pages you do not control: review sites, lists and, above all, Reddit threads where people compare tools in plain language.

A founder's time is the scarce resource. Finding the right threads, reading them, writing a helpful reply in the right tone and posting it at a sensible pace is a part-time job. Skipping it means leaving those threads to competitors and to strangers. Automating it badly gets the account banned and the brand called out. That is the gap AppearsIn is built for.

How AppearsIn helps

  1. Paste your site. One model call reads it and proposes your questions, competitors, communities and a voice. You edit the list before anything is saved.
  2. See where you stand. Each question is checked across ChatGPT, Google AI Overview, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity, Grok and Meta Muse Spark: ChatGPT, Google AI Overview, Gemini and Perplexity every week, and Claude, Meta Muse Spark and Grok about once a month. You see whether you are named, who is named instead, and which pages the engines cite.
  3. Get the threads. AppearsIn searches Google for the Reddit threads that already rank for your questions and keeps the ones that fit, each with a match percent and a reason.
  4. Review a draft per thread. Each is written in your voice, without your product's name until the account has some history. Edit, rewrite or skip it.
  5. Post from your own account. The Chrome extension posts what you approved, on a button press or automatically within daily limits, and stops itself if the account is suspended or comments are removed.

You stay in charge of what is said and where. The tool does the searching, the first draft and the measuring.

What your first week looks like

Day 1. Sign in with Google, paste your site and review the proposed questions. Connect the extension and press Sync so AppearsIn can read your Reddit account's karma and age. Your first scan starts as soon as setup is done.

Days 2 and 3. Read your AI answer score and the engines' wording. Look at which competitors are named for your questions and which pages are cited. Open the first drafts and edit them until they sound like you.

Days 4 to 7. Approve a few drafts. A new account is limited to one or two comments a day at first, rising over the week, so the volume stays human. Check the Proof page to see what was posted and how it was received.

Week two onward is a rhythm: a few approved replies a week, a weekly refresh of the score, and a look at what moved. The warm-up guide explains why the pace is deliberately slow.

Which plan fits a founder

Starter, $99 a month ($79 billed yearly) covers one product, one Reddit account, ten communities and 50 tracked questions, with unlimited seats. It is the right start for most founders. If you only want to test the idea, Lite at $49 a month tracks 20 questions on 5 communities, with the costliest engines checked monthly. If you run a second product, Growth at $199 adds three projects, three Reddit accounts, 30 communities and 100 questions. Lite at $49 a month is the cheapest way to see your own score and drafts.

Questions

Will AppearsIn guarantee that ChatGPT names my product?

No, and no tool can. It shows whether you are named, finds the threads and sources that influence the answers, and helps you reply honestly in them. The effect builds slowly and varies by engine.

How much time does it take each week?

Most of it is reviewing drafts. A few approved replies a week and a look at your weekly score is a realistic pace for a small team.

Do I need a Reddit account with history?

A real account with a history is safest. AppearsIn eases a newer account in, with a first-week ramp, a hold on drafts that name your product until it has 10 comment karma, and automatic stops if something goes wrong.

Can my co-founder use it too?

Yes. Every plan has unlimited seats. Each person connects their own browser, and each Reddit account needs its own Chrome profile.

What if Reddit is not where my buyers are?

Check first. Run your questions on the engines your buyers use and see whether Reddit threads are cited. If they are not, the AI answer tracking and your own pages matter more, and the guides explain how to work on those.
