The Google account
You sign in with Google. We receive your name and email address and use them to create your account and workspace. We do not receive your Google password and we do not read your Google data beyond that profile.
The project URL
When you paste a site URL we fetch that public page and send the first 12,000 characters of its text to our language model provider to fill in your project. We store the result: name, description, use cases, talking points, competitors, questions, and communities.
Drafts
We store each draft, the Reddit thread it replies to, its status, and, once posted, the URL of the comment. Thread titles and search snippets are sent to our language model provider to write the draft. We do not store the body of Reddit posts.
The extension token
The extension holds a token in your browser's local storage so it can load your queue. We store only a hash of it. Signing out of AppearsIn deletes your extension tokens.
Reddit username and karma
The extension reads your Reddit username, and your karma when your profile is open, from the page you are already signed in to. It sends those figures to us so we can apply the 10 comment karma hold and show your standing. It does not read your Reddit password, cookies, messages, or votes.
Payment processor
Payments are handled by a third-party payment processor. They collect your card details; we never see them. We store the customer and subscription ids they send us.
Email delivery
We use an email delivery provider to send the workspace invite email and one note when your project's first drafts are ready. Your email address is shared with them for that purpose only.
To delete your account and its data, use Preferences, Profile, or write to [email protected].
