Overview
Who AppearsIn is for, the five engines, and the path from a site URL to a posted reply.
Who it is for
AppearsIn is for founders and small teams who want their product named when someone asks an AI assistant a buying question. Many of the pages those assistants cite are Reddit threads that already rank on Google. AppearsIn finds those threads, drafts one reply per thread in your voice, and, once you approve a draft, the extension posts it from the Reddit account already logged into your browser.
The engines
The score checks ChatGPT, Google AI Overview, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity, Meta Muse Spark and Grok.
From a site URL to a posted reply
- Paste a URL. On first sign-in, a short setup wizard turns your site into a project with questions, competitors, a voice, and a list of communities, and lets you review it before anything is saved.
- Scans. Every day a job searches Google for Reddit threads that already rank for each of your questions.
- Drafts. A model writes a reply for each thread above your relevance threshold. See Threads.
- Approve. Use this marks a draft ready. The extension posts it and stores the comment URL. Copy and open is the by-hand path.
- Articles. Questions where AI engines name your rivals but not you can become articles. Preview one in Content, then copy it or post it to your Ghost blog as a draft or live, by hand or automatically.
