CLI
Install the appearsin CLI, sign in, and run the commands in REST, CLI, and MCP.
Install
The CLI is the @appearsin/cli package, with the command appearsin. From the repository, pip install -e mcp_server installs it. It calls /api/v1 and does not import Django.
Sign in
appearsin auth login
This opens your browser, registers a public client, signs you in with PKCE, and stores the tokens in ~/.appearsin/credentials.json (mode 0600). Instead, set APPEARSIN_API_KEY to an apr_ key. Token order: the --api-key flag, then APPEARSIN_API_KEY, then the credentials file.

Commands print JSON. Each maps to a REST endpoint and an MCP tool.
