Blogr alternative
AppearsIn is software that helps a brand get named in AI answers. It checks whether ChatGPT, Google AI Overview, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity, Grok and Meta Muse Spark name your brand for the questions your buyers ask, shows the sources those answers rely on, and watches where the web mentions you and your competitors. Then it helps you show up in those sources, starting with Reddit: it finds the threads that already rank, drafts one reply per thread in your voice, and posts it from your own Reddit account after you approve it.
The short answer
Blogr plans and writes SEO articles from your Google Search Console data and publishes them for you, from $29 a month at its launch price. AppearsIn writes fewer articles and starts from AI answers: it checks whether seven AI engines name your brand and works in the Reddit threads they rely on. Choose Blogr for search-driven article volume at a low price. Choose AppearsIn to get named in AI answers.

What Blogr does
Blogr's site describes a content workflow from research to publishing: live search result analysis, topical authority maps with pillar and supporting articles, brand-voice writing, Google Search Console tracking, refresh suggestions, schema markup, internal linking, and editing before publication. It publishes to WordPress, Webflow, Shopify, Ghost, Lovable, webhooks, a REST API and Directify. Each article includes a cover image, FAQ, schema and cited sources. Its site does not mention AI citations or Reddit.
AppearsIn is built around the AI answer. It scores seven engines for your tracked questions, shows the sources they cite, writes articles for the questions where they do not name you, and replies in the Reddit threads that rank, posting from your own account after you approve.

Why AppearsIn
AppearsIn scores whether AI engines name your brand and works in the Reddit threads they rely on, as well as on your blog. Blogr plans content from Search Console and lists more publishing platforms and websites per plan, which AppearsIn does not. Blogr starts at $29 a month at its launch price, below AppearsIn Lite at $49.
How AppearsIn works
- You enter the questions your buyers ask. AppearsIn reads your site to propose them, and you edit the list.
- It checks seven AI engines (four weekly, three monthly) for whether they name you, who they name instead and which pages they cite.
- It finds the Reddit threads that rank on Google for those questions and writes one draft reply per thread, in your voice.
- You approve each draft. The extension posts it from your own Reddit account, on a button press or automatically within daily limits, and stops itself if the account is suspended or comments are removed.
See the extension docs for every posting limit, and the pricing page for plans.
Using both, or switching
