AppearsIn

Bazzly alternative

AppearsIn is software that helps a brand get named in AI answers. It finds the Reddit threads that already rank for a buyer's questions, drafts one reply per thread in your voice, and posts it from your own Reddit account after you approve it. It also tracks whether ChatGPT, Google AI Overview, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity, Grok and Meta Muse Spark name your brand, and where Reddit and the wider web mention you and your competitors.

The short answer

Bazzly is the more hands-off option: it posts replies from its own warmed-up Reddit accounts and also sends DMs and upvotes, for one $199 a month plan. AppearsIn is narrower and cheaper to start, at $99 a month, and posts only from your own Reddit account, with a person approving each reply or with limits you set. Choose Bazzly if you want the work done for you through accounts you do not manage, and AppearsIn if you want replies to come from you.

What Bazzly does

Bazzly's site positions it as a hands-off way to comment, DM and rank on Google from Reddit. It scans Reddit for posts and scores their fit, drafts replies in what it describes as a helpful, non-promotional voice, and posts them through aged, credible accounts so that your own account carries no ban risk. A manual mode lets you approve each reply before it goes out. It also sends direct messages, applies upvotes, and prioritises threads that rank on Google and are cited in AI answers. A browser extension is available for sending DMs from your own account, and a public API and an MCP server are included.

AppearsIn works the other way round on the posting step. It finds the Reddit threads that rank for your questions and writes a draft for each, but the comment goes out from the Reddit account signed in to your browser, so the history builds your own account. It does not send DMs, upvote or use accounts it manages. In exchange you take on the account's risk and its warm-up, which AppearsIn eases with a first-week ramp, daily limits and automatic stops.

Bazzly scans Reddit, drafts replies, and posts them from its own aged accounts, with a manual approval mode. It also sends DMs and upvotes. AppearsIn is narrower: it posts from the Reddit account already signed in to your browser and does not send DMs or upvote.

What Bazzly does well

  • Fully hands-off posting through accounts it manages
  • DMs and upvotes in the same product
  • A manual approval mode alongside autopilot
  • One plan with everything included, plus an API and an MCP server
  • Automatic refunds for removed comments within 48 hours, as its pricing page states

Where it may not fit

  • The comments are not from you or your company, which matters if authenticity or disclosure is important to you
  • A single $199 plan with extra projects at $199 each
  • It does not say how it scores whether AI engines name your brand
  • Posting from managed accounts is a different risk, not an absence of risk

Why AppearsIn

AppearsIn posts from your own account, so the comments build your account's history rather than a managed one. Starter is $99 a month against Bazzly's single $199 plan. If you want DMs, upvotes and posting from accounts you do not manage, Bazzly does those and AppearsIn does not.

How AppearsIn works

  1. You enter the questions your buyers ask. AppearsIn reads your site to propose them, and you edit the list.
  2. It checks seven AI engines (four weekly, three monthly) for whether they name you, who they name instead and which pages they cite.
  3. It finds the Reddit threads that rank on Google for those questions and writes one draft reply per thread, in your voice.
  4. You approve each draft. The extension posts it from your own Reddit account, on a button press or automatically within daily limits, and stops itself if the account is suspended or comments are removed.

See the extension docs for every posting limit, and the pricing page for plans.

Using both, or switching

Using both on the same threads would put two different sets of comments in front of the same communities, which is the pattern that gets noticed. If you try both, give each a separate set of questions and communities, and compare what each produces in removals and replies before committing to either.

Questions

Does AppearsIn post from my account or from accounts it manages?

From your own. The extension works in the Reddit page of the browser you are signed in to, and AppearsIn never holds your Reddit credentials.

How does AppearsIn pricing compare with Bazzly?

Bazzly lists one plan at $199 a month, with extra projects at $199 a month each. AppearsIn Starter is $99 a month with unlimited members.

Does AppearsIn send DMs or upvote?

No. It drafts and posts comment replies, and tracks whether AI engines name your brand.

Is posting from Bazzly's accounts allowed on Reddit?

Reddit's rules prohibit spam and content manipulation, and each community sets its own rules on promotion. Whether a particular workflow is acceptable depends on how it behaves and on the communities involved, so read the current rules. The key difference is that the comments are not from you.

Does Bazzly refund removed comments?

Its pricing page states automatic refunds for removed comments within 48 hours, unposted comments and undelivered upvotes.

Can AppearsIn do what Bazzly's autopilot does?

Partly. AppearsIn can post approved drafts automatically within daily limits you set, but from your own account, and it does not send DMs or upvote.
